Are you ready to feel heard?

“People start to HEAL the moment they feel HEARD

It is important to me that you have a space where you feel heard and understood.

Transforming mental health care

As a Black, cis-gendered, able-bodied woman, I have faced numerous challenges and traumatic experiences throughout my life. From a young age, I have felt the need to work twice as hard, be smarter, and display emotional restraint to succeed in a world that often oppresses people like me. Moreover, I have been the target of racial microaggressions and trauma, leaving me feeling overwhelmed, confused, tired, and anxious. Despite this, I have come to understand that life is a journey full of ups and downs that we must face and work through. In this journey, I've uncovered my purpose, and I am dedicated to helping individuals confront and overcome life's constant pressures, worries, challenges, and upsets.
I adopt a relational, cultural, and compassionate approach to therapy, offering a secure and accepting space for individuals grappling with anxiety-related challenges. I openly discuss race, sexuality, spirituality, and their impact on our daily lives with clients, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Mindfulness, Somatic techniques, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients develop sustainable, healthy habits that will improve their symptoms, self-concept, holistic health, and sense of liberation.

Furthermore, as a strong advocate for the rights and identities of LGBTQIA+ , and Black and Brown folx. I continuously seek to educate and advocate for their rights. My goal is to assist clients in overcoming the challenges they encounter, particularly in the realm of anxiety, racial trauma, and empower them to lead fulfilling lives marked by resilience and well-being.

HiI’m Dr.RaShanda Will,

Helping People Gives My Life Meaning

Being a Counselor is rewarding. I love helping people become healthier and more empowered and witnessing them achieve more fulfilling lives. The most rewarding thing about being a Counselor is seeing a person walk away lighter, more free, and excited about their life.

I am committed to encouraging you to see healing and transformation.

I Have A Strong Pull Towards Helping And Bring Warmth And Understanding To Sessions

I have a natural ability to:

  • Help people identify what they are feeling.

  • Uncover what's under the surface.

  • Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them.

  • Accept people for who they are and in their current life circumstances.

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people feel heard and understood which helps people feel seen and start to heal.

Our Sessions Are Focused On You

Sessions will provide you with the space to express your thoughts and feelings. In feeling safe and comfortable, you'll be able to express your thoughts and feelings and be understood and heard.

It's important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself and ensure that the process is collaborative. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach to Counseling. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

As A Counselor, I Embrace The Following Philosophies

  • I believe that we should all feel empowered and not oppressed.

  • I believe that you deserve to feel better

  • I believe that we only heal if we take care of ourselves

  • I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole - their mind, body, and spirit

  • I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do

  • I believe that we can stop feeling shame when we share our story with someone who can hear it with empathy and understanding
